10th Saint Petersburg international conference

General information

You are invited to take part in the jubilee 10th Saint Petersburg International Conference on Integrated Navigation Systems to be held on May 26-28, 2003 in St. Petersburg. This annual Conference has become a traditional meeting place for the exchange of ideas between scientists and engineers involved in guidance, navigation and motion control. In 2003 the Conference will be held during the 300 anniversary of Saint Petersburg, which will be celebrated in the period from May 24 to June 1. The Conference is included in the list of events on celebrating the 300 anniversary of Saint Petersburg.

Conference languages

The Conference languages are English and Russian.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

Conference proceedings

The Conference Proceedings will be published in English and handed to the conferees at the registration.

Schedule

Each full-length paper will be allowed 25 minutes for presentation and discussion.
2-3 minutes are allowed for presentation of a poster paper at the plenary session; the following discussion will continue at the posters.

Important dates

Deadline for receipt of abstracts is 1 December 2002.
The authors of the selected papers will be notified by 15 February 2003.
Full texts of papers included into the Conference program, should be submitted by 15 April 2003.
Applications of non-authors interested in participating in the Conference should be sent to the Organizing Committee by 15 February 2003.

Because of the jubilee celebrations, it may be difficult to reserve a hotel room. So we strongly advise you that you should send your applications for participation in the Conference as soon as possible in order to have a firm guarantee of the reservation.

Conference fees

The conference fee of $350 will increase to $400 after 1 April 2003. For students and retired employees the conference fee is reduced to 50%, i.e. $175 before 1 April 2003 and $200 after 1 April 2003.

The fee includes participation in the Conference, one copy of the Conference Proceedings, a sightseeing tour of the city, lunch and coffee during three days, transportation from/to the airport and from the hotels to the Conference, an evening banquet.

Cultural program

Saint Petersburg which celebrates its 300th anniversary is known to be the largest world center of science and culture. You will have a unique opportunity to see the city in its festive attire in the season of White Nights. By tradition, the conferees and accompanying persons will be able to go on a sightseeing guided tour of St. Petersburg, tours of the Tzar palaces in the suburbs of St. Petersburg and excursions to the city museums, visit the Hermitage. Tickets to the theaters and for the concerts will also be available at the Organizing Committee.
